DSI is excited to announce the ground breaking of two new developments.

The Lodge at Johns Road is an 83-unit market rate apartment community located in Huntsville, Alabama specifically targeting active adults age 55 and older. DSI’s team believes there to be an unmet need in today’s housing market for rental communities designed and managed with the self-sufficient Baby Boomer in mind. We look forward to proving out this concept as we start our pre-leasing process which is anticipated to begin Fall 2014.

The Village at Oliver Place is a 24-unit townhome development in the tornado ravaged town of Phil Campbell in Northwest Alabama. Though it has been over two years since deadly tornadoes ripped through the area, new and affordable housing options remain in short supply for local residents. In addition to housing tax credits and HOME funds, the project was able to attract Community Development Block Grant Funds from HUD that were specifically set aside for use in areas desperate for Disaster Relief.
